About Us

The Apartment Association of Central Oklahoma was founded in 1976 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. AACO is a not-for-profit trade organization dedicated to unifying rental housing professionals through education, legislative reform and member services.

The current membership of the association range from property owners, builders and developers, professional management companies, on-site staffs (managers, leasing agents and maintenance technicians) and suppliers that provide a host of products and services within our industry.

Working hand in hand, members of the AACO work together on a daily basis for the benefit of all members as well as the National Apartment Association (NAA) and gain access to their services and assistance.  NAA is our national association and they provide local affiliates with information relating to the apartment industry as well as legislative updates from our nation’s capital.

Collectively, AACO Members manage more than 72,000 residential doors totaling over $1.8 billion in real estate assets in the Central Oklahoma area.

The Apartment Association of Central Oklahoma exists to join professionals in our industry together in order to help maximize their business return on their investment and provide the best housing possible for residents of Central Oklahoma. In addition to the professional aspects of the AACO, we join the talents, efforts and energy of our members in a variety ways to benefit the public at large through an assortment of charity events throughout the year.
